As a beginner, the series of posts on deploying adf applications are really helpful for me. The language used in your blog is very simple and easy to follow. Many thanks.

Correct, this setting is not valid in a Production environment (it will be ignored if set). If you are deploying to a WLS that was installed in production mode, JDBC data sources should be used in the app and configured in the server instead.

Hi Lynn,

could you confirm that setting jps.app.credential.overwrite.allowed to true is valid in a Production environment ?

The "Oracle Fusion Middleware Security Guide" states that it's only valid in a development environment.
URL: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/core.1111/e10043/devmancfg.htm#BCGJIJHH

Thanks in advance,

Wow! I have been fighting the JBO-26061 issue for almost a full day now. I finally got it resolved after reading your post (it was the -Djps.app.credential.overwrite.allowed=true that fixed it)

If you were here right now, I'd give you a big hug.

Thanks!

Hi Lynn,
I don't exactly know who to ask this question, but I attended some of your sessions at RMOUG and hope you can point me in the right direction.
I have been playing with JDeveloper for about 3 years and now that Fusion Middleware is official (?) what is the best way to get trained in the product ?
I have been a Forms and PL/SQL user since the early nineties and find self training isn't working well ... I think there are too many things to learn without formal help

Thanks
